This umbrella base looks so much better than the broken one we replaced. We filled it with sand instead of water. So far it is withstanding our occasional 50 MPH winds in Oklahoma City.

Easy to fill (hose screws into base plug) and has stood on its own with an umbrellas without having a table to help with support. Even with some pretty strong gusts. Not totally tip proof without being hooked into a table but works for our needs. Once filled with water be prepared to have to move a 50 lb hunk of plastic and water. It does slide easily on concrete.

This Walmart umbrella is replacing an older WMart umbrella we kept open outdoors for a full 6 years ! We will put the new one up this Spring, but have no doubt this umbrella will do the job for us a long while. These are very solidly made umbrellas.
